Outdoor Pros BC helps homeowners across the Lower Mainland find decks, fences, landscaping, patios, roofing and more from local businesses they can check for themselves.
Why we built it
Finding a good contractor shouldn't mean filling in a form and getting ten calls from strangers. The big lead sites sell your details to several contractors at once, and charge those contractors for every lead. Nobody wins except the website.
We do it differently. You see every local business, you check them yourself, and you call the one you want. Your details only go to the contractor you choose.
Where the listings come from
We started with the business licence records published by the City of Surrey and the Township of Langley: every business licensed for outdoor work there is listed, free. Any outdoor business elsewhere in the Lower Mainland can add itself free too, and owners can claim their listing to add photos, the areas they work in and more. Homeowners anywhere in the Lower Mainland can pick their area to see who serves it.
How we check contractors
A Verified badge means we've seen three papers: the business licence, a WorkSafeBC clearance letter and a liability insurance certificate. It isn't a recommendation of anyone's work. That's still your call, and our hiring guides help you make it.
How we're paid
Homeowners never pay. Contractors can keep their free listing for good, or pay us to do their marketing: social posts, Google profiles, ads and websites. We never charge per lead and never sell leads.
